The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is committed to preserving, promoting and protecting sport history in our province of Nova Scotia. We are proud to promote excellence in sport  achievement in a manner that transcends age, race, gender and social background.

“Our Sport Heroes” are our focus. Through the use of our Hall of Fame facility at the Halifax Metro Centre, our interactive website, and our  provincial wide education program, we tell stories of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance that in many cases brought these Nova Scotians to the world’s stage. By celebrating these accomplishments we can give the youth of Nova Scotia role models, the inspiration to set personal goals, the understanding that success comes from hard work and dedication, and the knowledge that perseverance overcomes challenges.

By honoring the accomplishment of those who have gone before, we hope to instill a sense of possibility in those who will follow. The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is known as the “Best Provincial Sport Hall of Fame in Canada” and we hope to continue this reputation as sport grows in our great province.

Sport Nova Scotia is a non-profit, non-government organization, representing over 60 provincial sport organizations and more than 160,000 registered sport participants.

Sport Nova Scotia is a voice for sport that promotes the benefits of health, personal development and achievement for all participants. It provides support, direction and leadership to its member organizations, in their delivery of sport opportunities to Nova Scotians

Programs like KidSport to help less fortunate children get involved in sport, the Nova Scotia Amateur Sport Fund which gives athletes support for training and competition and the After-school Physical Activity program to combat obesity in children would not be possible without Sport Nova Scotia.
